Shared statement marking the second anniversary of the first UK COVID-19 lockdown
Wednesday 23 March 2022 marked the second anniversary of the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK. Two years on, the government have just launched their ‘Living with Covid’ plan which involves lifting most of the protective measures put in place to help keep the virus from spreading.
This shared statement produced by National Voices and Healthwatch England, has been signed by 71 organisations including the UK-CAB. Through working with and listening to the 190 National Voices members and the communities they support, they have identified four key priorities that now need to be addressed.
These are:
- Access to health and care
- Mental health
- Long Covid
- Inequalities
