Mina Kakaiya

A seasoned International Speaker, Author and Transformational Wellbeing Coach. Mina is a certified MHFA (Mental Health First Aid), Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Practioner. She is a HIV campaigner and a HIV volunteer peer mentor. She has been involved in several HIV campaigns and teaches Emotional Resilience, Mindfulness, Peer Support and Sexual Wellbeing workshops and talks. Mina has also been featured on BBC Asian Network, BBC Women’s Hour and Podcasts.

Currently Mina is a Peer Coordinator at Positive East and the Advisory Board Member of the SAHAR (South Asian HIV Advisory Resource). The NE London Community Rep at London HIV Clinical Forum and Fast Track Cities HIV Advisory Group member.

She has over 25 years’ experience in the health and social care sector in driving service improvement and change. Innovating new ways of working, highlighting health inequalities, promoting Community Development and Social Inclusion. She has coproduced the innovation of a diverse range of mental health and wellbeing peer led projects and social prescribing services as well as developing peer support training in Mental Health, HIV, Living Organ Donation, and Domestic Violence.

Mina is dedicated to help people harness their inner wellbeing towards personal transformational change to be more resilient and leading fulfilling lives with a greater sense of purpose and passion.

Mina has served on various local commissioning and social care governing boards as operations manager for Healthwatch’s to influence and scrutiny of the wider local and regional integrated health and social care strategy implementation. She holds a degree in Neuroscience and a Masters in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
