Life-saving medicines available today were all tested in clinical trials. Clinical trials are the only accurate way to answer the most important questions about medicines—which ones work and which ones don’t, which ones are safe and which aren’t. There have been tremendous advances in what we know about treating HIV because of the participants and researchers who tested new medicines in clinical trials.
